In this self-portrait I wanted to explore the topic of 'digital narcissism' through the lens of image processing and pixel manipulation as means to 'hide' my body in its natural form but at the same time to expose it as artistic project.

Self portrait (February 5, 2017) in response to the current situation in United States regarding the immigration ban imposed by the new administration. I pose holding 'mate' a traditional teapot from Uruguay and the words 'America is a land of immigrants makes the 'fabric' of the canvas. This art is derived from a video work created on the topic. The animation can be seen on the 'video' tab of this website.
